Every Thanksgiving, Kids’ Meals distributes over 1,500 turkeys and grocery bags to every household enrolled in the assistance program. For 2017, Palais Royal was honored to sponsor the Thanksgiving event for this Houston area non-profit organization. Palais Royal/Stage Support Center Associates assisted with the packing of the meals, decorating 1500 grocery bags and delivering the the yummy treats to the families just before Thanskgiving.
Each family received a bag with a turkey, canned corn, canned green beans, stuffing and mashed potatoes.
Stage is committed to help end to cancer by supporting organizations that are working on solutions to one of the world’s greatest problems. Stage President & CEO, Michael Glazer and other Executives proudly presented BCRF with a check for $100,000 from our October Breast Cancer Program with Estee Lauder.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer. We provide critical funding for cancer research worldwide to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis and survivorship.
Houston Texans safety, Andre Hal, partnered with Palais Royal for a third year to host a mother-son holiday shopping event for Pro-Vision Charter School students.
Ten students and their mothers will join Hal and Andre's mother spent the evening shopping at Palais Royal in Houston. Palais Roya is the Official Department Store of the Houston Texans, and donated a $350 gift card to each student to spend during the event. While shopping, the students were able to spend time with Hal and his teammates as he shared advice on planning their futures and emphasizes the importance of a family support system.
Pro-Vision Charter School is an academy for student’s grades five through 12 in the Greater Houston area, offering year-round enrichment and job training programs, complementing its academic coursework. Hal’s work with Pro-Vision is not limited to this holiday event. In addition, he sponsors students, dubbed “Andre’s All-Stars,” through the Texans All Community Team (TACT) Ticketing program. This program gives players the chance to provide season tickets to a local nonprofit organization of their choice, allowing members of the Houston community, who otherwise would not have the means, to experience a Texans home game.
Our thoughts are with our friends, associates and guests who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. The heartbreaking images from southeast Texas have been difficult to process, yet in the wake of these devastating floods, we're inspired by how our neighbors came together to help one another.
We've never been more proud to be a member of these communities, and we're honored to lend a helping hand in this time of need.
In that spirit, we've raised over $1,200,000 to help with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Portions of the funds will go to associates impacted by the storms. Area stores will make merchandise donations to flood victims across southeast Texas. In addition, we will be making a matched cash contribution to the American Red Cross.
Palais Royal is proud to be the winner of the 1st Annual Kids’ Meals Juice Box Challenge by donating 17,796 juice boxes! Kids’ Meals received over 40,000 juice boxes over the course of the competition (June-August)! The organizations goes through more than 270,000 juice boxes each summer, so every bit helps offset the expense of juice!
