The core responsibility of our Real Estate department is to find new store locations — and only the best sites are chosen for our customers. In addition to the overall management of the entire Real Estate portfolio owned by Stage Stores, our team is also responsible for developing market strategy, identifying property to lease or buy, recommending remodels for existing stores and replacing or updating antiquated facilities. Through its five nameplates, Stage Stores focuses on small and mid-size markets which the Company believes to be under-served and less competitive. With lower levels of competition for brand name apparel, coupled with our unique retail concept, these markets provide abundant opportunities for growth for many years to come.
